Hi there and thanks for visiting my blog! I use this space to show off some of my favorite images from the weddings, engagement sessions, and portrait work I do. I also Love to travel, so I share a lot of my photography from the places I visit and family here as well.

As a wedding photographer, I believe heart and soul that weddings are one of the most beautiful events to experience and share with a couple. There is nothing like sharing a couple's first moments together as man and wife, seeing the Love they have for one another, and being able to document that emotion for their future. If I said I was in it for the "warm fuzzies", would you believe me? Well, I am. There's nothing more rewarding than taking amazing wedding pictures for my clients to keep and share with family and friends.

And the photo is a goofy picture my sister, also a photographer took at a wedding we photographed together. I was 6 months pregnant, and I really don't crack that cheesy grin often :) -Kate

Dean and Catherine – Engaged

I met Dean and Catherine through Mark and Emily’s wedding last season. Just more proof that doing right by your clients reaps rewards beyond loving your work, great photography, and meeting amazing people- but more business as well! We had wanted Fall engagement pictures for Dean and Catherine, but alas, the October weather kept biting us with rain and harsh wind. So, we rescheduled, 3 times. We finally got the chance to shoot their engagement pictures on April 18th, on a lovely spring day at the Spring Lake Park Nature Center.

I’m so looking forward to Dean and Catherine’s wedding in late July!

Brian and Beth – Married

Brian and Beth were married in September 2009, and were totally gorgeous to work with. Gorgeous in the sense that they were kind, loving people, who’s families were lovely to meet and speak to, and who’s guests were friends who loved them. Their wedding was rich in the sense that they were overflowing with love, friendship, and warmth. As a sidenote, I love love love that they had their reception on a riverboat, down the St. Croix River. Secondary sidenote, I was 7 months pregnant, and don’t normally get motion/sea sick… I did for this reception. Here are my favorites from their wedding!
