Mark and Emily – Engagement Session

I will be photographing Mark and Emily’s wedding in August, so I was very excited to get some face time with them before the wedding to get to know them better.  I loved photographing these two, they were just too fun, and so in love with each other.

Joe and Jennifer’s Engagement Session at Minnehaha Falls!

I love my clients!  I don’t know how they find me sometimes, but man, I am totally the luckiest photographer ever!  Meet Joe and Jennifer, who are getting married in October and booked me to photograph their wedding and engagement session.  These two were one of my first booked clients this year, and I’ve been dying to meet them.  We took our pictures in the Minnehaha Falls park, which happened to be swarming not only with people, but dogs as well.  Note to self, next time we book a session in a park, make sure there isn’t an AIDs walk, or a walk of any other kind there at the same time.  After the crowds cleared a bit, we were treated to an absolutely gorgeous day.

You can see more images from Joe and Jennifer’s session by going to www.katepetersphotography.com and clicking on the Engagements drop down.

Greetings from Montgomery, Alabama

Dan and I traveled down to the deep South last weekend to visit his brother Mike for his birthday.  Turns out, the entire family thought it was a great idea and came along.  Here are some pictures of mu hilarious in-laws.  They’re going to kick my butt for posting these, but I love them! (Both my family and the pictures, who wouldn’t?)

Dan’s parents flew up to visit us from North Carolina at the end of January.  Possibly the coldest week of the year, they went 4 days without it getting over zero degrees in temperature – but they were troopers about it!  These are some of the pictures I took while running around town with them.  Sadly, my images of the Winter Carnival orchid show didn’t pan out though…lens fog!

Enjoy!  Kate

Atlantic Beach and Fort Macon, North Carolina

This year for Christmas, as my husband and I always do, we flew to North Carolina to spend the holidays with family and dear friends.  Part of our time we spent in Chapel Hill/Raleigh, and the other part we drove 3 hours East to the coast, and Havelock, North Carolina.  Everytime we visit, we have to go to the beach, even in Winter.  There’s something about hearing the roar of the ocean that sets a piece of you right on the inside.

It was windy while we were there, and cold!  Here are some images from Atlantic Beach, and Fort Macon.
