The last time I’d seen Emily was on a rather cold and dreary day in late January. She wore a bright coat, but for the life of me, I can’t remember what color it was… maybe golden rod? It doesn’t matter, because what I did remember vividly of her was that she was fun, and happy, and while we chatted over coffee, the time just flew by. I think we had a 2 hour consult.
So, when I met Emily and Phillip at Duke Gardens the other day… I almost didn’t recognize her because her hair was so much longer than I remembered! This is the hard thing about wedding photography… is that sometimes, your clients book so far out, you hardly remember their faces when it comes time for their engagement sessions! [mental note: Bring camera to consults from now on!] But, nevertheless, we obviously figured out who was who, and got started immediately photographing on what was a rather damp, early morning.
One thing I love about these pictures, is the absolute glow Phillip and Emily have in them. I had a hard time choosing which were my favorites among these, so please, take a look below, and enjoy! I had so much fun taking and editing them, that now, I am just dying to photograph their wedding in 2 weeks.
