I knew from the moment that I met Lorie and her mom, that I would love this wedding and everything that went along with it. I was right, oh so right! I have honestly been eagerly anticipating this wedding for some time, and was not disappointed. I knew Lorie had an eye for detail, and I loved everything about their wedding. The reception was Gorgeous (yes, capital G-orgeous!), and Lorie and Joe made sure to think of their guests with custom monogrammed gift bags at the Washington Duke Inn. The flowers were romantic and whimsical, created by Serendipity Designs, and I loved loved loved (times a thousand!) loved Lorie’s dress. If I remember right, she described it as Southern Elegant…. and it was, truly!
Let me talk a little bit not about the wedding, but about Lorie and Joe. It’s rare that a couple reaches into my heart and grabs me the way these two have. When they are together, you can see a special kind of calm comes over them- Joe’s smile is happy and content, and Lorie’s eyes shine brighter. They’re a match made perfectly. That’s the kind of calm and love I look for in my marriage, and is part of the reason I enjoy wedding photography so much.
