Modern, Simple, Classic - Photography to share and last a lifetime
Welcome to my blog!
Hi there and thanks for visiting my blog! I use this space to show off some of my favorite images from the weddings, engagement sessions, and portrait work I do. I also Love to travel, so I share a lot of my photography from the places I visit and family here as well.
As a wedding photographer, I believe heart and soul that weddings are one of the most beautiful events to experience and share with a couple. There is nothing like sharing a couple's first moments together as man and wife, seeing the Love they have for one another, and being able to document that emotion for their future. If I said I was in it for the "warm fuzzies", would you believe me? Well, I am. There's nothing more rewarding than taking amazing wedding pictures for my clients to keep and share with family and friends.
And the photo is a goofy picture my sister, also a photographer took at a wedding we photographed together. I was 6 months pregnant, and I really don't crack that cheesy grin often :) -Kate
Ok, I’m almost done with editing Dave and Chrissy’s photos, and I usually don’t like to let the cat out of the bag before I get done… but I am IN LOVE with this photo of the two of them that we took the morning of their wedding in Rice Park.
I met Pete and Suzanne for coffee on a cold December evening when I was 9 months pregnant and gigantic. I think I profusely apologized for not being able to meet with them closer to their wedding because our little Josephine was imminent (or so I thought!) Pete and Suzanne told me about their vision and wedding plans, how they had waited for each other, and how Pete’s friend was going to officiate the wedding, and was ordained specifically for them; I fell in love with the two of them immediately, and practically begged them to hire me to photograph their intimate family wedding. Well, they hired me, and were married on June 5, 2010. The day, which was supposed to be sunny and warm turned out to be on the damper side, as all weekends seem to be lately in Minnesota this Summer, but I have to say, it really didn’t matter. They glowed with excitement, happiness, and love for each other.
Pete and Suzanne were married at the Aurora Staples Inn, in Stillwater, Minnesota. Here are some of my favorite images from the day, and please scroll to the bottom where you can view a slideshow of all my favorite images and get the link to view all their wedding images and order prints.
